EABA is continually looking for ways to make baseball more accessible for all players and their families. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused many unique and unexpected challenges. As EABA strives to remove barriers for players to participate and experience baseball, we are excited to announce that the regular $125 Fundraising Raffle deposit will be waived for 2021 Season!
We realize that during this uncertain time that it may not be reasonable to ask EABA members to fundraise or to ask families for an additional deposit. EABA, in support with programs such as JumpStart and KidSport, works hard to remove financial barriers that may prevent kids from experiencing the values and benefits that organized sports provides.
The funds that are usually raised through the annual raffle make up a significant portion of our operating revenue that allows the EABA organization to function and exist. We have made the decision to cover this year’s funding shortfall using our savings from previous years to ensure we can keep our registration costs as low as they are and to provide the same player experience.
The EABA board kindly asks that in lieu of a fundraising deposit, you help show your support in other ways such as volunteering, coaching, purchasing Angels apparel, and helping find sponsorship opportunities. More information and opportunities will be highlighted through the eabaseball.ca website, social media, and email blasts.
