EABA is excited to announce that registration for the 2022 Season is now open.

Find out more and register online here!

This camp will be a preseason high performance program combined with AAA / AA evaluations for those who intend to play with EABA / Edmonton Padres teams at the 18U and 15U levels. Player health and safety is the focus while building players back to form since many will have done less, sometimes considerably, than typical years leading up to tryouts. Players should expect 2-3 sessions per week over four weeks throughout March (dates, times, locations TBD).

Players will be tiered in groupings within each age category initially by Group A: AAA returners (from that team/age level), Group B: AA returners (from that age level), Group C: AAA first years (players moving up an age level), and Group D: AA/house league/unknown imports (depending on public health guidelines at the time, there may be more than 4 groupings to accommodate player numbers). At the end of each week, players will be re-tiered based on how they’re doing compared to their peer groups.

The final re-tiering of players would be to set the AAA and AA teams by Sunday, April 3. This tiering system will ensure a fair evaluation while not forcing players to ramp up before they’re physically prepared to. Focus will be on high performance technical skill development and conditioning while coaches will also have players complete evaluations in the final two weeks of the program.

Assumptions: group maximums based on public health guidelines, group sessions are permitted, groups may be re-tiered from week-to-week. All public health guidelines will be followed and there might be additional guidelines set in the interest of player and coach safety.

Camp/evaluations will run Saturday, March 5 through Saturday, April 2.
Rosters will posted Sunday, April 3

Youth Groups
Youth under 18 can participate in sports activities without vaccination proof, medical exemptions, or negative tests, BUT they must be symptom free.

Adult coaches, trainers, volunteers, and spectators must provide proof of vaccination, medical exemptions or negative test results to TTC staff.

Adults associated with youth groups can provide this information at the first practice and keep on hand for all future practices, unless they’re providing a negative test result (which must be within 72 hours of entering the facility, and must check in at the front desk each time).

Parents who want to watch their children practice are discouraged from doing so, but will be allowed as long as they provide proof of vaccination, a medical exemption or a negative test result. They must also wear a mask for the duration of the practice.

EABA is excited to announce that registration for the 2021 Season is now open.

We know this year holds lots of uncertainties, but we're hopeful for a 2021 Baseball Season. The EABA board will continue to put plans in place and work towards a 2021 season, while we continue to follow the AHS and Baseball Alberta guidelines.

Registration for the 2021 Regular Baseball season will be a bit different year. Due to the uncertainties at this time EABA has decided to open initial registration, however fees will not need to be paid at time of registration. We would like to have players register soon so we can get an understanding of the interest and numbers for the 2021 Season. Once we are certain the season will be able to process we will provide more details and put a call out for fees.
