Fall Ball

2026 Fall Ball Registration Now Open.

 

Fall Ball is a great option for players to continue with their development and enjoyment of baseball beyond the regular season. It is also a terrific option for players to help prepare for next season, whether they are experienced or new to the game. Fall Ball teams are comprised of players of all skill levels and experience.

Cost is $150 per player.
Registration runs until August 7, 2026
All players need to register and pay in full to be assigned to a team

Fall Ball Divisions

  • 11U Birth years 2016-2017 (9 - 10 year olds)
  • 13U Birth years 2014-2015 (11-12 year olds)
  • 15U Birth years 2012-2013 (13-14 year olds)
  • 18U (2009-20011 birth years (15-18 year olds)

Space is limited, and teams will be determined on a first-come basis. Waitlists will be used to form teams. Players will be notified if they are on a team or waitlist shortly after August 7th. EABA will try to ensure waitlisted players are placed on teams but cannot guarantee that it will be possible.

Registration is open for players born from 2009-2017. Players who are moving up a division for the 2026 season are encouraged to play up in Fall Ball to prepare for the next season. For example, if you're a second-year 9U player (born in 2017), you can play 11U. Or, if you're a second-year 13U player (born in 2013), you can play 15U Fall Ball.

EABA reserves the right to move players up and down based on rosters and ensure the best fit for skill and maturity level.

There are up to 13 spots available on each team; however, waitlists will be available. If there is enough player interest and coaching support, additional teams will be created.

 

Fall Ball Structure:

  • Two games each Saturday throughout September
  • Games are generally in the Edmonton area
    • There may be the need to travel outside of the Edmonton area depending on the location of
      teams in the Baseball Alberta Fall League.
  • Players to arrive 1 hour before the game, for warm-ups and skill development
  • 1-2 practices per week – times to be determined at the start of the season
  • Season runs from late August to the end of September

Parent involvement/ Volunteering positions:
Although there is no volunteer deposit/commitment, parents/guardians are expected to participate and contribute to their player's team by assisting with the following roles. 

  1. Head Coach
  2. Assistant Coaches
  3. Team Manager
  4. Parent Liaison
  5. Jersey Parent
  6. Score Keepers
  7. Pitch Counters
  8. Photo/Social Media Parent

 

Equipment/Uniform:

  • All players must have:
    - CSA approved baseball helmet
    - Glove
    - Cleats
    - Grey baseball pants
    - Red belt
    - CSA approved protective cup
  • Bats are optional (Players may bring their own bats as long as they fall within the Baseball Alberta bat regulations)
  • EABA will provide a player jersey (to be returned at the end of the season), as well as a t-shirt and baseball cap for the player to keep.
