Coaching Requirements

Coaches must have the following to qualify:

All Levels
(BlastBall through to 18U)

  • Safe Sport eLearing:  Click safesport.coach.ca
    Once complete, please update NCCP
  • Police Information Check - Vulnerable Sector Search (PIC-VSS)
    Please fill out and provide the EABA Vulnerable Sector Search letter and Police Information Check form listed below and present them at a local Edmonton Police Service station to complete the process for free.

Please note that the PIC-VSS can also be done online at https://www.policesolutions.ca/checks/services/edmonton/.

Once coaches receive the SafeSport and PIC-VSS validation (completion code and digital copy) must be provided to EABA Vice President at vicepresident@eabaseball.ca

The PIC-VSS and SafeSport certifications can be added to your NCCP account profile for coaches in Rally Cap through to 18U.
(Under "Safe Sport - All Coaches").
PIC-VSS must be up current and renewed every 3 years. 

 

Rally Cap-18U - Community / 'A' level

  • Register for NCCP system
    - $37.45 to enter the system and receive access to the Coach Initiation in Sport Module
  • NCCP Coach Initiation in Sport - eModule
  • NCCP Coach Initiation in Baseball (Fundamentals) - eModule

11U-18U - Community / 'A' level

  • NCCP Initiation Coach Clinic
  • NCCP Coach Initiation in Baseball (Fundamentals) - eModule
  • NCCP Emergency Action Plan - Online

AA - AAA levels


EABA will reimburse for all clinics and courses required by Baseball Alberta and NCCP:

  • Police Information Check - VSS - Free when submitted in-person to an Edmonton Police Service station
  • Safe Sport eLearing - FREE
  • NCCP Registration / Coach Initiation in Sport - eModule - $37.45
  • Additional NCCP Course and Clinic Fees (costs vary)

Please submit your receipt for reimbursement to the EABA Treasurer at treasurer@eabaseball.ca
