Call Out for Coaches for 2025 Season

EABA is calling out for coaches for all divisions and levels for the upcoming 2025 season.

Having strong coaching support at all age levels is critical to youth sports. EABA is incredibly proud of the coaching support it has and continues to look to grow and foster it further. These volunteer leaders and assistants play an instrumental role in ensuring appropriate team support and creating positive experiences for our athletes.
Coaching support is needed for BlastBall through to 18U at the Grassroots, Community and Rep “AA” levels. If you are interested in coaching the upcoming 2025 season, please take a few minutes to fill out the EABA 2025 Coaching Application Surveys.

• “AA” (11U-18U) Coaching Interest Submissions
  (Closes January 15th)
  EABA offers competitive compensation for coaches at the “AA” levels based on experience and certifications.

 

• All Grassroots, Community and YEGA (11U-13U) Coaching Interest Submissions
  (Closes on March 1st)
  Please note that previous experience is not necessarily required at the community and grassroots levels and that EABA will provide appropriate support and training for all coaches.

All EABA Coaches must follow the Baseball Alberta coaching requirements.

 

Coaches must have the following to qualify:

All Levels
(BlastBall through to 18U)

• Safe Sport eLearing
  Once complete, please update NCCP
• Baseball Alberta Background Screen / Record CheckA new Criminal Record Check is required every three seasons. In addition, each individual in a position of trust must complete an application declaration form in years 2 and 3 of their background check to confirm nothing from the original check has changed.

 

Rally Cap-18U - Community / 'A' level

• Register for NCCP system
  - $37.45 to enter the system and receive access to the Coach Initiation in Sport Module
• NCCP Coach Initiation in Sport - eModule
• NCCP Coach Initiation in Baseball (Fundamentals) - eModule

AA - AAA levels

• Please visit the Baseball Alberta website to determine what requirements are needed.

EABA will reimburse for all clinics and courses required by Baseball Alberta and NCCP:

• Police Information Check - VSS - Free when submitted in-person to an Edmonton Police Service station
• Safe Sport eLearing - FREE
• NCCP Registration / Coach Initiation in Sport - eModule - $37.45
• Additional NCCP Course and Clinic Fees (costs vary)

Please save all records of certifications and receipts for reimbursement as there will be a collection period for submission during the season.
