Coaching Requirements
All coaches must have the following to qualify for coaching:
- Respect in Sport: Click https://baseballalberta.respectgroupinc.com/secure/
- On-line Initiation: Click nccp.baseball.ca
- Initiation Module: Please visit Baseball Alberta’s website to find a date/time & to register.
- Criminal Record Check - EABA will provide all coaches with a code to use when applying for the Criminal record check. This will be no charge for the coach. Coaches must fill out the form(located online) and take it to the local police station (with EABA code) to file. Then once coaches receive the record check via mail, a copy must be provided to EABA President. Needs to be completed every 2 years.
The cost of Respect in Sport is $30.00. This fee will be reimbursed by EABA, Please submit your receipt and completion certificate for reimbursement to the EABA Treasurer.
The cost of On-line Initiation is $37.50. This fee is reimbursed by EABA. Please submit your receipt for reimbursement to the EABA Treasurer, at treasurer@eabaseball.ca
The cost of the On-field Initiation is $50.00 and is also reimbursed by EABA. Please submit your receipt for reimbursement to the EABA Treasurer at treasurer@eabaseball.ca

This Symposium is for East Edmonton Baseball coaches, Team Managers/Treasurers where we'll have break out sessions to overview all of the necessary information for coaching & managing a team (from a Team Manager and Treasurer perspective)
Baseball Albert Umpire / Coach Seminar/Clinic
NEZ Baseball is hosting an mandatory umpire/coaches seminar for all NEZ/EABA Community and Padres/Angels coaches

Attendance is mandatory for all house League, AA and AAA head and assistant coaches for 11U, 13U, 15U and 18U divisions.
Please arrive on time and ready to learn more about the relationship between coaches and officials.
The Coach – Umpire workshop is offered by the Baseball Alberta Provincial Umpire Committee. The immediate goal of this workshop is to foster greater understanding of the umpires that will be officiating your game with the express objective of minimizing frustration that baseball coaches may feel which often leads to conflict. The ultimate goal is to contribute to retention of umpires during their formative years.
Highlights of the workshop include:

· How to avoid conflict on the diamond
· Baseball Rules with instances of how a coach can gain advantage
