EABA is happy to announce that Matt DeBeurs will be taking on the role of Coaching Advisor.

Matt started playing baseball at a young age and was lucky enough to have been coached by, and played with, some great people along the way. As a 6-time provincial champion, 1-time Western Champion, and a 2-time National champion, Matt has had a long career within the game.

Post playing career, Matt has been lucky enough to coach at every age level, as well as serving as EABA’s Technical Director for a year. As a coach, Matt has a focus on teaching all ages and skill levels, using a focus on data, modern techniques, and personal playing experience.

More than anything, Matt is all about passing on the passion for the game that he loves. Matt likes to say, “no matter the skill level, age, or location, baseball is about building long lasting positive relationships with one’s fellow players, coaches, officials, parents, and everyone else that enjoys this wonderful sport.”

We couldn’t agree with him more and we look forward to having Matt’s passion and knowledge of baseball be part of the EABA organization.
